A standard badge is 3 inches wide. These four were drawn at true scale, so you can judge the size before you order.
Three materials
Engraved plastic
Two-layer plastic, laser engraved, in about 50 colour combinations, with square or round corners. The most economical badge. The lettering is cut into the material, so it does not rub off.
Printed metal
Full-colour print on brushed silver, gold or copper aluminum, or on white aluminum. The choice when the logo has colours or gradients.
Solid brass
A heavier, warmer badge for reception desks, hotels and management teams.

How ordering works
- Send us your logo and the names. Through the quote form, by email at sales@nametag.ca, or by phone.
- Approve the proof. We send you the finished design and the price, usually the same business day. It is free and you are under no obligation.
- Receive your badges. We produce them in 1 to 2 business days and ship them free.
Not sure about the material or the colour? We can mail you stock samples of our materials and finishes, free, so you can feel them before you decide.
Questions about name badges
No. It is the same object under two names. Offices, conferences and banks tend to say name badge; stores, clinics and restaurants tend to say name tag. Everything on this page is what we make every day, whatever you call it.
Our standard badge is 3 inches wide, which is easy to read at a counter without covering the chest. Custom shapes are cut within the same 3-inch width. The smallest die-cut shape shown above is 1 3/4 inches square.
A pin comes standard. A magnetic fastener adds $1.50 per badge before the volume discount. It holds through a suit jacket, leaves no holes in the uniform, and releases instead of tearing the fabric if the badge gets caught.

Production takes 1 to 2 business days once you approve the proof. The proof is free and comes before anything is made.
